The CFR Booking Process: How to Secure Your Housing

bridge the gap

Professional Housing, Simplified

At Carolina Furnished Rentals (CFR), we bridge the gap between the ease of a hotel and the security of a long-term lease.

Because we provide housing for Insurance Claims (ALE), Travel Nurses, and Corporate Relocations, our booking process is more rigorous than a standard vacation rental but faster than a traditional landlord.

We prioritize safety and verification to ensure a quiet, reliable environment for all guests.

Step-by-Step Booking Guide

How do I book a furnished rental with CFR?

You can secure a property in four steps:

  1. Submit an Inquiry or Instant Book: Select your dates (7-day minimum) and property.
  2. ID Verification: You must upload a government-issued ID to verify your identity.
  3. Digital Lease Signing: You will receive a North Carolina vacation rental agreement or temporary lease to sign electronically.
  4. Payment & Confirmation: Once the deposit and first payment are processed, your reservation is confirmed, and check-in details are generated.

Why do I have to sign an agreement for a short-term stay?

We require a signed Vacation Rental Agreement to protect both you and the property owner and to clearly outline house rules, expectations, and liability while you’re staying in a private home.

For stays longer than 30 days, the agreement is renewed every 30 days for the duration of your stay.

Does Carolina Furnished Rentals run background checks?

Carolina Furnished Rentals follows all federal, state, and local Fair Housing laws. Our policies are based on property requirements, length of stay, and operational standards and are applied consistently to all guests, without regard to any protected class.

02

What is the minimum age to rent?

The primary renter must be at least 21 years old.

This policy helps us maintain a mature atmosphere suitable for working professionals and families in transition.

Payment & Terms

What is the difference between booking a Flex-Week vs. an Extended Stay?

The difference is commitment length, not guest type.

  • Flex-Week Stay: A shorter commitment option designed for guests with uncertain timelines who need flexibility.

  • Extended Stay: A longer, ongoing stay that continues in 30-day increments for guests who need housing until their next move is finalized.

Both options use the same furnished homes, standards, and agreements — the structure simply allows flexibility based on how long you need to stay.

Do you accept insurance direct billing for ALE claims?

Yes. For Displaced Families utilizing “Loss of Use” coverage:

  1. We can coordinate with your insurance adjuster for direct billing on long-term placements (subject to policy verification).
  2. Alternatively, we provide detailed, itemized folios that meet the strict requirements for ALE reimbursement if you pay upfront.
Note: We recommend booking your first “Flex-Week” immediately to secure the housing while adjuster approval is finalized.

Going beyond the norm

Why Choose CFR Over Other Options?

Can I tour the property before booking?

Generally, no. Because our homes have high occupancy rates with current guests (often medical professionals sleeping during the day or families in crisis), we respect their privacy. We provide high-resolution photos, floor plans (where available), and detailed video walkthroughs to help you test drive the property virtually.

Can I hold a property without paying?

No. Dates are not blocked on our calendar until the reservation is confirmed and the deposit is paid. In the competitive Raleigh/Durham market, we operate on a first-come, first-served basis.
