What is "Gap Housing"?

Gap Housing bridges the time between selling your old home and closing on your new one.

  • The Scenario: Your house in New York sold faster than expected, but your new build in Apex isn’t ready for 6 weeks.
  • The CFR Solution: Instead of moving twice or living in a hotel, you move into a CFR home. You get a kitchen, laundry, and a yard. When your new home is ready, you move out.

Can I use your lease to enroll my kids in school?

In many cases, yes.

We provide a signed short-term rental or lease-style agreement that families may use as temporary proof of occupancy when working with local school districts. Final enrollment decisions are always made by the district, and requirements can vary.

Please note: CFR homes cannot be used as a permanent mailing address. Families are required to maintain a PO Box or alternate mailing address while staying with us.

Pets & Storage

Can I bring my pets?

Yes.

Most relocation families have pets. Boarding a dog for 2 months is expensive and traumatic.

The Solution: Most of our homes have fenced yards. Your dog stays with you, maintaining stability for the whole family during the chaotic moving process.

What about my furniture?

Keep it on the truck or in storage.

Fully Furnished: Our homes are turnkey. You do not need to unpack a single box.

Bring your suitcases and essentials, and leave the heavy furniture in PODS or climate-controlled storage until your permanent home is ready.
